QM Technologies Blog: Hot Spin Qubits Pushing for Fault-Tolerant Quantum Computing

As we scale quantum computers to include tens of thousands or even millions of qubits, cooling becomes a critical challenge. Cryogenics systems must evolve to handle the heat load from signal transmission. While alternatives like photonics or atom/ion-based systems are explored, others enhance cryogenics for large-scale qubit operations. Some even research ways to raise operating temperatures, a daunting task for delicate qubit systems.
