EuRyQa Conference: Neutral Atom Quantum Computing

Quantum computers are entering the era of efficient quantum error correction and fault tolerance. Neutral atoms are among the most promising, and fastest improving, platforms for fault tolerant quantum computing. The conference “Neutral atom quantum computing” brings together researchers, industry partners, and infrastructure providers to discuss the development, integration, and future directions of neutral-atom–based quantum computers. Over two days, participants will explore the scientific, technical, and engineering challenges involved in scaling Rydberg-atom platforms. In an informal setting, the event aims to support the advancement of research on fault-tolerant quantum computers based on neutral-atoms in Europe.

  • Rydberg excitations for controllable, long-range interactions
  • Coherence times, blockade effects, and gate fidelities
  • Optical tweezer arrays: scalability, stability, and atom trapping
  • Scaling to thousands of qubits
  • Codes and algorithms for efficient quantum error correction
  • Toward fault-tolerant neutral-atom quantum computing
  • Long-term vision for a European Rydberg-based quantum ecosystem

The scientific program features invited lectures, contributed presentations, and poster sessions highlighting recent progress in the field. A guided laboratory tour will provide participants with an opportunity to observe state-of-the-art experimental setups and technological capabilities. The conference also includes catered lunches and a formal dinner at one of Strasbourg’s distinguished restaurants, offering further opportunities for discussion and professional networking.

Registration and participation

Registration is open until 11 February 2026. There is no registration fee, but participation is limited to 100 participants. Due to time constraints, the number of talk presentations is limited, and submitted contributions will be selected by the organizers.
